- 2 parts sesame seeds
- 2 parts poppy seeds
- 1 part dried onion flakes
- 1 part dehydrated garlic
- 1 part kosher salt (or less)
- Mix all the ingredients together. Store in an airtight container.
This recipe lacks specific measures, just ratios! If you are making this to bake a batch of bagels, then using a tablespoon as your “part” is probably enough for 8-10 bagels.
Some mixes are heavier on garlic or onion, so feel free to increase those to your liking. I wouldn’t up the salt beyond one part. Make sure to use kosher or some other course salt. Table salt at that ratio would be way too salty!
