Community Standards & Policies

While you engage with the Knead & Nosh community—whether through Zoom, email, our website, our social media community, etc.—please know that the expectations for participation and conduct are the same as if you were engaging with us in person. The following expectations for participation with the Knead & Nosh community apply to everyone:

  • Participants have the right to express themselves and participate freely in an online class or with our online community.
  • Participants are expected to treat each other, instructor(s), and all other staff members with courtesy and respect.
  • Only individuals registered and enrolled in a particular course may access the course materials, lectures, group discussions, etc. in the online environment, unless otherwise approved by the instructor. Links to course materials, including video meetings, should not be shared with individuals who are not enrolled in the course unless otherwise approved by the instructor.
  • Offensive or inappropriate language or images should not be used in any form of communication e.g., emails, Zoom chat, and screen shares. This includes background images and settings in Zoom.
  • The discussion area of the course is reserved for postings related to class work only. Postings of a personal or non-class related nature are not permitted and may be removed by the instructor should they appear.
  • If participants receive inappropriate chats from others in the class, they should notify the instructor immediately.
 
If, at anytime, Knead & Nosh determines that a participant has violated these standards, Knead and Nosh reserves the right to remove the participant from a class, this website, or any other Knead & Nosh community space. In the event of removal for cause, no refunds will be made.

Cancellation Policy

Knead & Nosh understands that sometimes the best planning can’t prevent schedule conflicts and unexpected schedule changes. If you need to cancel your enrollment in a group class, please do so at least 48 hours prior to the class to receive a full refund. Between 48-24 hours prior to the class, you will receive a 50% refund, and inside of 24 hours, no refunds are available. At anytime before a scheduled class, you may reschedule into a future class date of equal or lessor value or cancel your enrollment and maintain a full credit to use toward registering into a future class date. Ownership and Scope This Privacy Policy applies to the website kneadandnosh.com, the Boil & Bake mobile application, and all services provided by Knead & Nosh, which is a registered trade name (DBA) of Edmoxie LLC. References to “we,” “us,” or “the Company” refer to Edmoxie LLC doing business as Knead & Nosh.

At Knead & Nosh, we take your privacy seriously. This policy describes how we handle personal information across our website (kneadandnosh.com), our mobile application, and our physical point-of-sale systems.

We collect information that you provide directly to us and information collected automatically through our digital platforms:

  • Contact & Account Details: Name, email address, phone number, and physical address provided during checkout, class registration, or newsletter signup.

  • Transaction Data: Details of products purchased (bagels) or classes booked. Note: We do not store full credit card numbers; these are handled by our secure payment processors.

  • App Media: Our mobile app requests permission to access your Camera and Photo Library. This is used solely to allow you to take or upload photos for your personal baking logs within the app. These photos are stored locally or in your private account and are not shared with us or third parties.

  • Technical Data: IP addresses, browser type, and usage behavior collected via cookies and plugins like Jetpack and Google Analytics for WooCommerce.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Fulfill Orders: Process bagel sales and class registrations.

  • Communication: Send transaction receipts, class updates, and promotional emails (via our SiteGround email platform) if you have opted in.

  • Improvement: Analyze website traffic and app usage to improve our recipes and digital experience.

  • Security: Protect our website and users using tools like Wordfence and WP 2FA.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell your data. We share only necessary information with the following types of service providers to operate our business:

  • Payment Processing: WooCommerce Payments (online) and Clover (in-person).

  • Website Management: SiteGround (hosting/email), WordPress, and UpDraftPlus (backups).

  • Functionality & Analytics: The Events Calendar Pro (class bookings), Jetpack, and Google Analytics.

  • Forms & Communication: Ninja Forms and WP Mail SMTP.

4. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies to enhance your experience, such as maintaining items in your shopping cart via WooCommerce and monitoring site performance. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

5. Data Retention and Security

We implement security measures including Wordfence and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to protect your data. We retain purchase history as required for accounting and tax purposes.
