- Length: 3 hours
- Required Equipment:
- None – just bring yourself. If the class is scheduled at Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program’s kitchen in Brunswick, please bring a hair cover (like a baseball cap), and wear comfortable shoes!
- Special Ingredients*:
- All ingredients are included in the cost of the class.
In this hands-on, in-person, we will make Har Gow (aka crystal shrimp dumplings) from scratch. We’ll make dough from scratch, and prepare our filling, then learn to fold har gow dumplings. Finally, we’ll steam the dumplings and then eat!
* If you have any questions about allergens or ingredients, please ask in advance! Doughs for these dumplings are made from wheat starch and tapioca starch. Wheat starch may contain trace amounts of the proteins that form gluten and therefore are NOT gluten free. The most common allergens are probably shrimp, wheat and gluten, and soy.
