Updates and a poll from Knead & Nosh Headquarters

  • by

September was an especially busy month with 3 regularly scheduled bakes, the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program open house, Hot Pot dinner at Maine’s First Ship, and Mooncake classes! Phew, I’m tired just typing that!

I’ve got plans for the monthly specials, I think, for the next 4 months:

  • October: Pumpkin Spice (it was inevitable, right?)
  • November: Orange Cranberry
  • December: Egg Nog
  • January: Dragon (maybe Sichuan Dragon — add some spicy peppers to the garlic, ginger, and scallion?)

Would love to hear if you like these ideas? And, I’m also thinking about what follows that. So, to help me, below you’ll find a quick survey that you can submit to help me consider what flavors should return, which new ones you’d like to see, and if there’s a flavor that should added to the regular monthly menu?

For those of you who are regular subscribers, you may not have seen come changes to the ordering options. I’ve added bagels by the half dozen, and you can also add to an order another half or full dozen to be donated to MCHPP for half price. To date, we’ve been able to donate over 5 dozen bagels to the MCHPP’s food pantry. Thank you for supporting MCHPP!

I have two classes scheduled for this month. I will be hosting Chinese Dumplings 101 at MCHPP for the first time on October 14, Saturday. And I will be returning to Maine Tasting Center again on October 15 for another Maine Bagel Lab class. I hope to schedule more in-person classes this winter at MCHPP now that they have expanded to include Saturday morning hours! There’s a question about that too on the survey.

If you’d like to place an order for bagels, please visit here. For a schedule of upcoming classes, please visit here. If you are a subscriber, and you’d like to submit your selections for this month, you can do so here.
